Join our team this year as a Tactile Nature Interpreter at a variety of outreach and programming opportunities! These ambassadors support our Marketing and Programming teams through the display and interpretation of a variety of touchable items including furs and bones that will spark interest and curiosity from a variety of guests, engage them in conversations, and help them connect with our mission.

Opportunities will be available throughout the year. Interested volunteers should plan to support several opportunities per year with each opportunity typically lasting 3-4 hours. Volunteers may sign up and serve in pairs - It's always more fun to volunteer with a partner! Click the blue VOLUNTEER button to learn more and get started.

Note: An in-person training opportunity is being offered Saturday, January 17th from 1:30-3pm at the Main Office. Learn more and RSVP here.

Lend a Hand in Conservation at Wegerzyn

Conservation work doesn't stop with the growing season. Volunteers are invited to support ongoing conservation efforts at Wegerzyn Gardens MetroPark, helping care for natural areas year-round. Tasks may include removing invasive species, installing tree stakes and cages to protect young native trees, planting new trees and shrubs, and assisting with other conservation-related projects as needed.

It's a hands-on way to support long-term habitat health while learning more about the work that helps Wegerzyn thrive, season after season. View the opportunities available and sign up to support by clicking the blue VOLUNTEER button.

FRMPParkMaintenance.jpgWinter Trail Maintenance in the Twin Valley

Winter is a key season for trail work, and volunteers play a vital role in keeping Twin Valley's trails in great shape. This January volunteers are invited to join our trail staff for hands-on trail maintenance workdays. These opportunities focus on revitalizing trail systems while sharing the why and how behind building and maintaining sustainable trails, all alongside like-minded individuals who care about the places they love to explore.

It's a meaningful way to learn new skills, spent time outdoors, and give back to the trails that give us so much year-round. View the opportunities available and sign up to volunteer by clicking the blue VOLUNTEER button.
