Who We Are

Volunteer Services strives to provide high-quality, meaningful volunteer opportunities that support the agency’s mission, inspiring residents throughout the Miami Valley to become citizen advocates of Five Rivers MetroParks.
Five Rivers MetroParks provides clean, safe parks and conservation areas for the public to enjoy year round. Our Park Maintenance volunteers help to manage and sustain 18 beautiful parks, 11 conservation areas, and 160 miles of hike, bike, mountain bike, and horseback-riding trails for park visitors to safely enjoy.

Entry-level Volunteers are accepted with a goal to develop the skills listed. Some skills may require additional training and annual check-off.

Volunteers with the following skills and interests may be a good fit for this position:

  • Volunteers with skills in customer services, small tools and equipment, physical labor, cycling, hiking, and trail maintenance.
  • Those interested in community outreach, conservation, park beautification, and trails.
  • Volunteers looking for flexible or unscheduled volunteer opportunities may be interested in our MetroParks Volunteer Patrol.
