Community members of all ages, accessibility levels, and backgrounds will join us at various sites throughout Five Rivers MetroParks to help us help protect the region’s natural heritage, clean up our parks and prepare for the winter season at this year’s annual Make a Difference Day volunteer service event.
Impact
Sustainable trail building involves careful planning and working with the land rather than against it. It addresses the needs of users, protects the environment, reduces sharing issues among different user groups, and requires less maintenance. Volunteers are key in helping us to provide beautiful, safe, and well-maintained trails.
Tasks
Under the supervision of the assigned staff, volunteers will support and assist with the following:
-
Cleaning up the trails at MoMBA. This includes clearing debris from the trail and edges of the trail, cutting back growth on the edges of the trail, and repairing damage to the trail.
