
If you love checking off a to-do list and performing clerical tasks, the Task Support Training might be a good fit for you! Administrative Volunteers have the unique opportunity to support frontline staff as they provide high quality programs, and services throughout the Five Rivers Metroparks.
ARE YOU ELIGIBLE? This opportunity is open to long-term volunteers, ages 16 and up who have completed their volunteer onboarding qualifications (Volunteer Handbook Signature, Completed Volunteer Profile), and for those 18 and up, an eligible background check. WHAT TO EXPECT & WHAT YOU'LL REVIEW
This session serves as both an introduction and a qualification step for the Administrative Task Support role. Participants will:
- Complete a tour of Five Rivers Metroparks Downtown Main offices including the layout and location of necessary equipment and Volunteer Services department
- Learn about check in procedures, parking policies, front desk sign-in and security processes
- Review typical volunteer tasks including sorting and organizing supplies, file clean out, and paper shredding.
- Participate in some hands-on task practice opportunities
This session will take place indoors at our Downtown headquarters location. Volunteers should dress comfortably for a climate controlled environment and come prepared to squat, kneel, bend, and/or carry 10-15 lbs.
