Celebrate Earth Day by reserving a free Adopt-A-Park Service Kit!
Looking for a hands-on way to make a difference in your community? Five Rivers MetroParks is offering a limited number of free service kits to help families and community groups take part in self-directed litter removal—an easy way to protect our region’s natural heritage while keeping parks, trails, and neighborhoods cleaner and healthier. RSVP is required.
Participants can collect litter in their favorite MetroPark, along trails, in local green spaces, or even in their own neighborhoods. Each Adopt-A-Park Service Kit is designed for a group of five and includes:
- Trash bags
- Gloves
- 1 litter pick-up tool
- Step-by-step instructions for safe litter collection and disposal
How to Pick Up Your Kit
- Click "YES" above to RSVP and select your preferred pick-up location and time.
- Drive through any time during the timeframe listed at your chosen location.
- Follow directional signs to a Five Rivers MetroParks vehicle and tent.
- Pull up to the tent, roll down your driver-side window, and provide your name. MetroParks staff will hand you your kit.
Need extra supplies? If you need additional gloves and trash bags for a larger group, submit a request here before your scheduled pick-up.
Important Next Step: Sign Up for the Litter Pick-Up Opportunity
After reserving your kit, you must also respond to the Litter Pick-Up: Adopt-A-Park Service Kits opportunity. This allows you and your team to record your service hours!
- Volunteering as part of a team? Please register as a team. If you’re not sure exactly who will be joining your cleanup, you can enter an estimated team size as 'additional spots' and update it later as needed.
- Volunteering individually? Simply respond to the opportunity and log your hours after your cleanup.
For registration assistance, contact Volunteer Services at volunteer.services@metroparks.org or 937-275-PARK.
