We're inviting the community to kick off the season with us at Passport to MetroParks, Friday, May 29th at RiverScape MetroPark. This event introduces our community to all the wonderful parks, programs, and events that MetroParks provides in a fun, family-friendly atmosphere with food, music, educational booths and activities.
Vendor Check-In volunteers monitor the entrance to the event, help check in vendors including musical entertainment and food trucks as they arrive, and move barricades to allow entrance for approved vendors.
Impact
Special Event volunteers are critical in ensuring that each special event or large-scale program runs smoothly from setup to teardown.
Tasks
Under the supervision of staff, support and assist with the following tasks:
- Stand at sawhorse barricades located on Monument Avenue and monitor the entrance to the event. Volunteers will be given a visibility vest to wear while on post.
- Check in vendors, bands, and food trucks, and move barricades to allow them onto the event footprint.
- Use the radio to communicate with event staff so that they can meet the vendors and give them further directions.
