Stillwater Conservation Area Tree Planting

Description

Help Restore the Forest at Stillwater Conservation Area

Join us in reforesting a newly acquired section of the Stillwater Conservation Area! Volunteers will help plant native canopy trees such as oaks, hickories, tulip poplars, maples, and beech, along with understory shrubs like spicebush, viburnums, and bladdernut. These plantings will expand the forested riparian buffer along the Stillwater River and create vital habitat for wildlife.

The work will include digging holes, planting, and installing protective tree skirts. It’s hands-on work with a lasting impact, as every tree you help plant contributes to a healthier river corridor and a thriving home for countless species.
