Be a part of making someone's experience memorable during the Cox Arboretum Member Event! Help transport guests to and from the Visitor Center and the Maimon Memorial Garden, providing comfort and care during this special member event.
Impact
Volunteers who drive the trams serve a critical role in ensuring event logistics, large-scale programs, and special programming run smoothly.
Tasks
Under the supervision of the staff lead, the volunteer will:
- Provide safe transportation to visitors at this special event
- Offer excellent customer service when interacting with guests
- Help guests with wayfinding

Additional Notes
- Parking & Meeting Instructions: Please arrive 15 minutes early so you can park and retrieve the TRAM. Volunteers should park in the main parking lot and meet the staff lead at the TRAM garage.
- Cancellation: If you need to cancel a shift last minute or are running late, please call the staff lead, Betty Hoevel, at
- Environment & Physical Demands: This opportunity takes place outdoors. Please be aware of outdoor exposure risks (i.e., sun, poison ivy, insects, etc.). Volunteers should be mindful of seasonal allergies (i.e., grass, pollen, bees, etc.), and may participate in some bending, kneeling, and reaching.
- Dress: Volunteers should dress for the weather, wear closed-toe shoes, their MetroParks name badge, and a volunteer t-shirt. Items such as water bottles, sunscreen, and bug spray can help make your shift more comfortable.
