The free Summer Music Series features a wide variety of regional acts performing live on the main stage under the pavilion at RiverScape MetroPark. Volunteer Ambassadors will share their enthusiasm for Five Rivers MetroParks with a variety of diverse audiences. Volunteers are needed to help greet and welcome park patrons, answer questions and hand out literature to concertgoers.
Impact
Ambassador volunteers enhance the visitor experience by offering excellent customer service to park visitors and helping them build awareness of all the amenities that MetroParks offers to community members.
Tasks
- Greet concertgoers and park visitors
- Pass out Five Rivers MetroParks marketing materials, including Parkways and the RiverScape Summer Guide brochure
- Roam the event to show a Five Rivers MetroParks presence
- Assist with questions about the event, park, and Five Rivers MetroParks
- Refer questions you cannot answer to a MetroParks staff member on-site

Additional Notes
- Parking & Meeting Instructions: Meet at RiverScape MetroPark, located at 237 E. Monument Avenue, and meet under the RiverScape pavilion. Volunteers may park at the Main Office (409 E. Monument Avenue) with a proper hang tag. Parking meters are also free after 6 PM.
- Cancellation: If you need to cancel a shift last minute or are running late, please call the staff lead, April DeBrosse, at 937-528-7181.
- Environment & Physical Demands: Light physical duties include standing, walking, and light lifting.
- Dress: Please wear your volunteer name badge and, if you have one, your green or blue volunteer T-shirt. Reusable volunteer vests will be provided for volunteers on-site.
- Other: Volunteers must abstain from drinking alcohol until after their volunteer shift is finished and must remove their volunteer nametag and any other volunteer apparel when consuming alcohol.
- Volunteers will be provided with a station including a table and chairs where they will be able to greet concert attendees as they arrive. During the concert, we encourage volunteers to continue answering any questions from the public while enjoying the music and the sunset along the Great Miami River.
