Program Support: Fly Fishing - Gear

Description

Do you fish? Would you like to help those new to fishing learn about all the cool things in the tackle box? Or fly fishing gear needed? Program support volunteers for this fishing program help in a classroom situation for fly fishing basics. Our Outdoor Recreation team creates the learning environment to help individuals build skills to be successful in these activities. Extra support as we show and tell about all the tools and tackle boxes helps make the program more interactive and each learner is given more individualized attention.  You do not need to be an expert to be program support for this opportunity, but it is always a plus.

Impact

Volunteers help build access, comfort, convenience, and safety into our programs for all interested in learning.  They enable more individualized support for first-time learners in this valuable skill-building program.  They help people make a stronger connection to nature by making it easy to experience the outdoors in fun activities.
