Thank you for your interest in supporting Five Rivers MetroParks as a Gator Driver. Gator Drivers support our agency through a variety of opportunities year-round, including special events, trail workdays, and park maintenance opportunities. There is an annual virtual training and in-person training with check-off required for all volunteers who serve as Gator Drivers. This training is intended for those planning to support the Hospitality Cart Driver, as well as other event set-up/event tear down volunteer opportunities at this year's Wagner Subaru Outdoor Experience on October 4th & 5th. Click here to view volunteer opportunities at this year's event.
Note: The use of agency equipment and vehicles by volunteers is at the discretion of Five Rivers MetroParks staff, with expressed permission and oversight by MetroParks employees. Only long-term, official volunteers 18 years of age and older qualify to operate vehicles, power tools, and motorized equipment.
DO YOU QUALIFY? To be eligible to support this opportunity, volunteers must be 18 years of age or older, complete the volunteer onboarding qualifications, and receive an eligible background check. Click here to complete your volunteer onboarding qualifications.
