The following steps are required for anyone interested in becoming a Woodworking Volunteer. The Woodworking Volunteer Opportunity is only open to current long-term volunteers and occurs on weekday mornings. For more information, please visit our Woodworking at Cox Arboretum MetroPark Volunteer Training page. All volunteers must complete the equipment review, quizzes, and in-person skills check-off. New volunteers must also shadow a current Woodworking volunteer during a regularly scheduled opportunity at Cox Arboretum MetroPark.
Step 1: Safety Equipment Review and Quizzes

Step 2: In-Person Training and Check-off
Once you have completed and submitted your quizzes, you are all set to attend the Woodworking at Cox Arboretum: In-Person Equipment Training and Check-Off scheduled for Thursday, January 13th from 9 AM-Noon.
Step 3: Sign Up
After completing the equipment test and review with a staff person, and completing your shadow experience for new volunteers, you will be all set to begin signing up for the Woodworking volunteer opportunities! On your first opportunity, you will be asked to submit two qualifications verifying your completion of the equipment quizzes and attendance at the in-person training and check-off.
