Aull History Tour of Dayton
Join the Aullwood Garden staff and volunteer Sue Steinke as they guide you on a sightseeing tour through Dayton of historically significant sites to John and Marie Aull and their family.
Please Note: Due to a limited number of seats in our vehicles, this invitation is limited to volunteers currently serving as Aull History Research Volunteers or Aullwood Gardener volunteers. Not sure if you qualify? Just email us, and we can let you know!
Itinerary:
Volunteers will meet Aullwood staff at the MetroParks Main Office parking lot at 9:00 am and will take a walking tour through Downtown Dayton. Lunch reservations will be made at the Engineer's Club on Monument Ave. After lunch, volunteers will gather at the MetroParks Main Office again and load into the MetroParks van to explore historically significant sites around Dayton that are outside of walking range.

- Dayton Canoe Club
- Dayton Engineer's Club
- Miami Conservancy District
- Insco Apartments
- Dayton City Club
- Dayton Bicycle Club
- Woodland Cemetery and more!
What to bring:
- A MetroParks volunteer hangtag for your vehicle will be required to park in the Main Office parking lot. If you do not currently have one, please email amanda.wheatley@metroparks.org so that one can be provided for you on that day.
- If you do not wish to eat lunch at the Engineer's Club, please pack a lunch to eat at RiverScape MetroPark.
- If you are eating at the Engineer's Club, please bring $20- $30 to cover the cost of your meal and a tip for the wait staff.
- Sunscreen/bug spray as needed
- A full water bottle
- Clothing appropriate for the weather, such as a light jacket or raincoat, and comfortable walking shoes.
