Description

Visitor Center Ambassador Volunteer Training

Description

Ambassador volunteers share their love and enthusiasm for the MetroParks with park patrons. They help enhance the visitor experience by greeting, welcoming, and interacting with diverse audiences and recommending the best things to see and do while visiting. This volunteer opportunity will be offered at the Cox Arboretum Visitor Center on weekdays and weekends and at the Carriage Hill Visitor Center on Saturdays only.

Training

Volunteers must attend a Visitor Center Ambassador Training to sign up for shifts. This training will be offered throughout the season at Cox Arboretum and Carriage Hill. Training will cover information on both Carriage Hill and Cox Arboretum, so volunteers can choose the location they'd like to volunteer at, no matter the location of the training. The training will provide an orientation to the workspace, as well as an overview of frequently asked questions, and what resources are available to the volunteer to aid in their ambassador duties. Ambassadors only need to come to an in-person training once.

Eligibility

This opportunity is reserved for volunteers who have completed their onboarding qualifications and have received an eligible background check. Learn more about our volunteer orientation and onboarding here. Must be age 16 or older.

RSVP required.  RSVP YES to reserve your spot now!
