One standout is Jennifer Davit, our talented Horticulturist at Cox Arboretum MetroPark. Jennifer joined us in April 2023, starting with the Urban Zone before moving to Cox Arboretum in October. At Cox, she's inspired by the Pollinator Habitat, the Barbara Cox Center for Sustainable Horticulture, and the Maimon Memorial Garden, which focuses on edible landscaping.

Volunteers are critical during the summer season to maintain our gardens, our trails and to care for our horses at the Carriage Hill Riding Center. Additionally, we offer many programs and events during the summer season for youth, families, and adults to get outside and connect with nature. Volunteer support is critical to ensuring these programs and events are successful.

Get Connected Tech Tip: Adding Volunteer Shifts to Your Calendar

Are you using this feature? When you respond to a volunteer opportunity you will be given the option to create a calendar event for your Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, Office 365, or Apple Calendar. Try it out and keep your calendar up to date with all your important activities. Don't forget to share your opportunity on social media and invite others to get outside and give back this Spring with Five Rivers MetroParks!
