What's NEW in volunteerism this month! 

NEW Get Connected Kiosks coming to Carriage Hill MetroPark! The first kiosk was installed and is already in use at the Carriage Hill Riding Center. The second will be installed by the Visitor Services desk inside the Carriage Hill MetroPark Visitor Center by June 1st. These kiosks make it even easier for you to check in to your volunteer shifts and sign up for volunteer opportunities. These kiosks are also great resources for new recruits interested in exploring volunteer opportunities with us and getting started as brand-new MetroParks volunteers. Look for these kiosks the next time you're at Carriage Hill MetroPark!

NEW! Staff Lead Bingo - We're playing a fun game with our Staff Leads June-August that could lead to some great prizes for you! Now through the end of August, Staff Leads are completing a variety of volunteer engagement tasks like sending thank you notes to volunteers, sending staff lead emails to volunteers, taking pictures with their volunteers, helping volunteers check in to Get Connected and more to win a Bingo and be entered into a monthly raffle drawing for great prizes for them and their volunteers. Prizes include FRMP swag items, supplies for their volunteers at their park, lunch or breakfast for their volunteers, a cook-out at their park for their volunteers, an ice cream party for their volunteers at their facility, and more! Have some fun and help your staff leads check off some of these tasks to get their Bingo and enter into the monthly Staff Lead Bingo raffle drawing!

NEW! Appreciation - At Passport to MetroParks, Volunteer Services offered the community a chance to show their appreciation for all the support our volunteers provide to our parks year-round. They created little notes of appreciation on cut out hearts that were on display throughout the event for the community to see. The display was truly heartwarming. The public really values the service that you provide and was glad to have the opportunity to say, "thank you".
