Important Rules for Court Appointed Service:
- Service Opportunities - All viable Court Appointed volunteer service opportunities can be viewed on this page AFTER the Join Questions are answered. Staff will verify service hours ONLY for the designated Court Appointed service opportunities listed in the Court Appointed Volunteer User Group.
- Attendance Policy - Any court-appointed volunteer who exhibits habitual tardiness, who fails to attend a scheduled shift, or cancels a scheduled shift less than 24 hours before the shift start time on three occasions will result in immediate removal from the Court Appointed volunteer program and will be prohibited from completing any additional service with Five Rivers MetroParks.
- Tracking Service Hours - Each volunteer is required to track his or her own hours by "checking in" to each shift through Get Connected. Additionally, if the court you are working with requires a specific form on which you are asked to document your service hours, you are responsible for bringing it to each volunteer shift and acquiring any needed signatures from the supervising staff onsite.
