Our 2nd Street Market is looking for WEEKEND custodial support to help us keep the place sparkling clean. Not only will you get to flex your cleaning muscles, but you'll get to meet and interact with some amazing people from your community. Our Park Maintenance volunteers help to manage and sustain 18 beautiful parks, 11 conservation areas, and 160 miles of hike, bike, mountain bike, and horseback-riding trails for park visitors to safely enjoy. TasksUnder the supervision of the Staff Lead, support and assist with the following: keeping the Market tidy during operational hours, as well as light sweeping, table cleaning, and helping with trash removal after closing. As we get ready for another enchanting Aullwood Winter Luminary Walk, we are seeking volunteers to help ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all guests. One important role this year is guiding visitors to the designated stargazing area. Volunteers will assist with setting up the equipment, greeting guests, and helping them enjoy an evening under the stars. This role will support the event astronomers and guide visitors through a dimly lit area. ImpactVolunteers like YOU are an essential part of MetroParks' programs and events. Special Event volunteers ensure that events and large-scale programs run smoothly and safely. Your participation helps make events like this one possible. Tasks Assist the event Astronomers get set up in the prime viewing area with their equipment and supplies.Volunteers will guide visitors to the stargazing area.
