Historic Interpreter volunteers are needed during this new event, Artisan Skills and Heritage Cookery, to provide interpretation for the Daniel A Arnold Historic Farm and to lead and interpret several demonstrations:
- Woodstove cooking: in the Winter Kitchen of the DA House - Interpreting to the public. Discussing using the stove, conversion of historic recipes, and providing resources on how to make them today. Volunteers will assist in preparing a simple recipe for the day.
- Textile Demonstrations: Knitting, crocheting, hand sewing, hand-piecing, and weaving. Textile volunteers will demonstrate the skills, offer simple activities for individuals to try, and interpret the items produced for use at the farm
- Storytelling: Volunteers welcome visitors to the DA House - Introducing them to the rich history, and the activities for the day.
