Program Support: Pick Your Own Flowers, Produce & Herbs

Description

Gardening season is year-round, and our programming team at Possum Creek MetroPark is creating a way for people to learn in our various garden-oriented classes!  Join the team and help us create a more engaging and individualized program for our programs.  You do not need to be an expert to be a program support for this opportunity, but gardening and plant knowledge are always a plus.

Impact

Possum Creek MetroPark is creating programs to engage people in growing their own produce, learning about the plants, and ways to give back to the community.  During programs volunteers help educate participants about habitats for pollinators and their connection to food production, as well as sustainable gardening.   Program support volunteers help build access, comfort, convenience, and safety into our programs for all interested in learning. They enable more individualized support for first-time learners in this valuable skill-building program. They help people make a stronger connection to nature by making it easy to experience the outdoors in fun activities.
