Share your love and enthusiasm for Carriage Hill and Five Rivers MetroParks with park and event visitors! Help enhance the visitor experience by greeting, welcoming, and interacting with a variety of diverse audiences, and recommending all the best things to see and do while visiting a Five Rivers MetroPark. Ambassador volunteers will share their knowledge with guests alongside MetroParks staff at the Marketing Booth during the event.
Impact
Ambassador volunteers enhance the visitor experience by offering excellent customer service to park visitors and event participants by providing information and materials to help participants enjoy the day's activities. Ambassadors build awareness of all the amenities and offerings of MetroParks with community members.
Tasks:
Provide excellent customer service by welcoming and directing visitors throughout the park and event.
Answer questions about MetroParks or direct visitors to a staff member if you are unable to provide an answer.
Distribute brochures, literature, event maps, and giveaway items to event guests.
Help encourage exploration of MetroParks informational resources including website, phone number, and Parkways magazines.

Additional Notes
Parking and Meeting Instructions: Volunteers may park in the Historic Farm and Volunteer Parking lot located at 7850 E. Shull Rd. Meet with the staff lead at the Historic Farm. View the event map here.
Cancelation: If you need to cancel a shift last minute or are running late, please contact the staff lead, Sheena Johnson, at 937-274-3129.
Environment & Physical Demands: Physical duties include some standing, walking, and light lifting.
Dress: Please wear your volunteer name badge and your green or blue volunteer shirt if you have one.
