Description

Volunteers play an important role in achieving MetroParks’ mission to protect the region’s natural heritage and provide outdoor experiences that inspire a personal connection with nature.  Garden Tour Guides connect visitors to diverse landscapes of plants and play a crucial role in educating them about these plants. Nature is a respite for many, and Garden Tour Guides support our education team in providing this service to park visitors.

Join us on Thursday, April 27 from 1-3 PM at Cox Arboretum MetroPark.

First, if you are new to Five Rivers MetroParks, WELCOME!  Click on this link to complete our Volunteer Onboarding.  Volunteer onboarding also includes submitting and passing a background check.

Next, complete the 2-part online training series. This online training is designed to prepare you for the in-person training & check-off, and for your role as a Garden Tour Guide.

Part 1: Garden Tour Guide online training

Part 2: Tram Driver online training

PLEASE NOTE: anyone attending the in-person training must first complete the online training series. Once you have completed both parts of the online training, please RSVP for the in-person training by clicking on the blue YES button above. You only need to attend one of the in-person training days.

RSVP is required.

*Dress for the weather, wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes, and bring a pre-filled water bottle.

Volunteers don't just make a difference; they ARE the difference.  Thank you for your support.

We look forward to seeing you on April 27!
