Visitor Center Ambassador Volunteer Training

Description

Ambassador volunteers share their love and enthusiasm for the MetroParks with park patrons! Help enhance the visitor experience by greeting, welcoming, and interacting with a variety of diverse audiences, and recommending all the best things to see and do while visiting. This volunteer opportunity will be offered at Cox Arboretum Visitor Center on weekdays and on weekends and at the Carriage Hill Visitor Centers on the weekends only from June 1 - to October 2.

Training

Volunteers must attend a Visitor Center Ambassador Training to sign up for shifts. This training will be offered twice in June at Cox Arboretum and once in July at Carriage Hill. All three trainings will cover both Carriage Hill and Cox Arboretum particulars, so volunteers can choose the location they'd like to volunteer at, no matter the location of the training. The training will provide an orientation to the workspace, as well as an overview of frequently asked questions, and what resources are available to the volunteer to aid in their ambassador duties.

Eligibility

This opportunity is reserved for volunteers who have completed their onboarding qualifications and have received an eligible background check. Learn more about our volunteer orientation and onboarding here. Must be age 16 or older.

RSVP required.  RSVP YES below to reserve your spot now!
