Gardens Love Natives
Gardens Love Native is being offered as additional seasonal training for volunteers interested in supporting Horticulture Education and Garden Tours.
This session will include volunteers participating with public program individuals as part of the training. Working with the public, and supporting the staff lead are part of program support. It will enhance the information from the wildflower training, allow you to relate it to a home situation better., and observe one method of sharing information with the public.
Description of program: Tour the wildflower area at Cox Arboretum (hopefully more things will be popping up) and discuss which natives you can easily grow in your garden, landscape, and containers, and what conditions they require to flourish. We'll also discuss dividing, transplanting, and helpful resources.
