WHAT TO EXPECT & WHAT YOU'LL REVIEW
During this indoor training, our staff biologist, Lisa Hill, will introduce you to the Wildlife Photo Classification Volunteer role and guide you through the wildlife photo review process. You'll learn about common species found in our parks, tips for identifying wildlife in trail camera images, and how to classify photos using the Wildlife Insights platform.
Following the training, volunteers will review and classify wildlife photos remotely from home/off-site. The ongoing volunteer commitment is approximately two hours per month and can be completed on your own schedule.
If possible, please bring the laptop or tablet you plan to use when completing classifications from home. This will allow you to become familiar with the platform on your own device during the training. A limited number of laptops will be available for those who are unable to bring one.
