Become a Safety Boater and play a key role in not only in our Try Paddlesports programs and the Try Paddlesports area at the renowned Wagner Subaru Outdoor Experience, but also the newer programs being added this year. As a Safety Boater, you
will support the Outdoor Recreation team at our paddlesport programs in and out of the water, and you’ll be an extra set of eyes on the water, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants. To volunteer as a Safety Boater, prior paddling experience and completion of the Five Rivers MetroParks Safety Boater Training are necessary. This is an annual requirement to retrain every 12 months to maintain your essential skills.
Join us in making a meaningful difference as a Paddlesport volunteer! Your involvement is crucial to delivering high-quality and engaging programming to the public.
ARE YOU ELIGIBLE? This opportunity
is open to individual, long-term volunteers, ages 18 and up who have completed their volunteer onboarding
qualifications (Volunteer Handbook Signature, Completed Volunteer
Profile), and for those 18 and up, an eligible background check. Volunteers should be comfortable paddling flatwater and swimming.
