Aull History Feild Trip to Cincinnati

Join the Aullwood Garden staff as they guide you on a sightseeing tour of historically significant sites to Marie Sturwold Aull in her hometown of Cincinnati.

Please Note: Due to a limited number of seats in our vehicles, this invitation is limited to volunteers currently serving as Aull History Research Volunteers or Aullwood Gardener volunteers. Not sure if you qualify?  Just email and we can let you know.


Itinerary:

Volunteers will meet Aullwood staff at the MetroParks Main office parking lot at 9:00am and will travel in two vans driven by, Beth and Mary.  The plan is to return no later than 4:30pm.

Itinerary highlights include:

  • St. John Cemetery
  • Springrove Cemetary and Arboretum (picnic lunch)
  • Hughs High School
  • St. Lawrence Church
  • St. Joseph Cemetery and Mausoleum
  • St. Teresa of Avila church
  • AJ Rahn Historic Greenhouse


What to bring:

  • A MetroParks volunteer hangtag for your vehicle will be required to park in the Main Office parking lot.  if you do not currently have one, please contact Janelle.Leonard@metroparks.org so that one can be provided for you on that day.
  • A packed lunch and water or other beverage
  • Suncreen/bug spray as needed
  • Money for purchases at the Garden Center
  • Clothing appropriate for the weather, such as a light jacket or raincoat and comfortable walking shoes.
