
Get Connected Tech Tip: Expiring Qualifications? Here's what to do... Qualification Expirations- If you've noticed you're no longer able to sign up for your favorite opportunities, it may be that one or more of your qualifications have expired. It may be time to complete your annual check off for opportunities that require it. Or, if you've been with us for 3 years, it may be time to update your volunteer handbook signature and background check.
Here's what to do: You can review your current Qualifications by clicking "Qualifications" from the User Menu after you log in. You'll find your User Menu in the top right had corner next to your initials or your photo. Here you can view all of your qualifications including those that have expired. Next, RESPOND to the volunteer opportunity you would like to support and follow the steps to update or renew your qualifications. -For background checks you will be prompted to submit a new background check through our partner Sterling Volunteers. Ongoing volunteers - short-term and long-term - are required to complete a background check every 3 years. For those who drive MetroParks vehicles, you are also required to complete an annual motor vehicle screening. MetroParks covers the cost for these screenings for you. -For updating your volunteer handbook signature, you can easily do this right in Get Connected by clicking the link and signing the handbook electronically.
