Get Connected Tech Tip: The Get Connected User DashboardGood things start from your Get Connected Dashboard when you first log in! From your Dashboard you can easily view your volunteer hours, opportunity responses, training & events rsvps and more! Click the boxes for additional information. Scrolling down you'll find "Suggested Opportunities" for you based on your skills and fanned volunteer positions. You'll also find a link for editing your skills and fanned volunteer positions to get better suggestions of volunteer opportunities that match your interests. Scrolling down further, you'll find the "Latest Training & Events", "Recent Opportunities", and our spotlighted opportunities. These brightly colored boxes alert you of high priority volunteer needs and special events coming up that could use a lot of volunteer spot. Clicking on the brightly colored box will take you to the event volunteer page where you will find all of the events volunteer opportunities, can learn more, and sign up to lend your helping hands. Scrolling further down, you'll find convenient quick links to our Volunteer Positions and our posts to our Volunteer Blog. Both of these are excellent resources for staying up to date on volunteering with Five Rivers MetroParks. You'll also find "Our Community" photo slide show with lots of volunteer photos, information, and links to opportunities and resources. Last, from your Dashboard view you can also see the main site menu on your left. This is your key for navigating the main features of the Get Connected site like quick links to special events, high priority volunteer opportunities, our Volunteer FAQs (frequently asked questions, Volunteer Blog, Volunteer Training Library, Training & Events, and our VIP Item Request Form for requesting all of your volunteer shirts, hats, and milestone service pins. Take a few minutes to check out all these resources and remember, Volunteer Services is here to help you as you along the way.
