Get Connected Tech Tip: Responding as a TEAM 

Volunteering is fun, especially when you can share the experience with coworkers, family, and friends! If you'd like to share your volunteer experience with your circle of friends, you can respond to an Opportunity as a team.  If an Opportunity lets volunteers respond as a team, you'll see a button that says RESPOND AS TEAM when you visit that Opportunity's page. To find and respond to opportunities accepting Teams, click here for a step-by-step video walkthrough and follow these steps:  

1. Go to "OPPORTUNITIES" from your dashboard.

2. Filter for Opportunities that allow teams to respond to them.   

3. Click the Opportunity you want to respond to.   

4 Click "RESPOND AS TEAM"-if the button is available. 

5. Give your team a title and add yourself by clicking "ADD ME".  You can also see important information about the Opportunity on this screen to help you build and schedule your team.  

6. Now, you're ready to start adding volunteers to your team! Click "ADD VOLUNTEERto start adding your coworkers, family, or friends! You can also Reserve Additional Spots for your team members, too!  If you Add a Volunteer to your team, you'll need to enter the volunteer's contact information and click "ADD TEAM MEMBERto save your changes. You may need to answer a question if required, such as Emergency Contact information.  

7. Once you've added all of the volunteers to your team that you need, be sure to check the box under Leader to assign someone as your team leader.  

8. When you finish building your team, click "CONTINUEto select when you want to volunteer!  

9. On this screen, you'll select the shifts that you want to volunteer as a team for.  Check the box to the left of the Shift Begins date and time.  

10. Be sure to click "FINISHto save your changes.
