2025 was another remarkable year for volunteer service, thanks to our generous volunteers, the dedicated staff who lead and support them, and the Volunteer Services team who work mostly behind the scenes to ensure meaningful and successful volunteer engagement throughout our MetroParks. 

In 2025, volunteers contributed 30,246.58 hours to our parks - INCREDIBLE! While the number itself is impressive, what it truly represents is extraordinary: helping hands removing invasive species, maintaining trails, planting native trees and flowers, tending our beautiful gardens, welcoming and assisting visitors, leading tours, demonstrating 19th century farm life, and supporting a variety of programs and special events.

Simply put, MetroParks could not do what we do with YOU. You are the helping hands, the warm hearts, the welcoming smiles, and truly the spirit of MetroParks. Thank you for continuing to share your time, skills, talents, and passion in support of our mission. We hope the work you're doing feels meaningful, impactful, and worth of your generous gifts. And we hope you always feel appreciated because you are.

While we could never capture every moment, we hope you find something within its pages that reflects your efforts and makes you proud of the difference you made in 2025.
